Associate Manager, Demand Planning

  • Location: Frimley, UK
  • Function: Demand Planning

Overview

  • Lead a team of 2 Demand Planners and ensure a rolling 24 month forecast is developed, reviewed, published, and adjusted as needed partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Responsibility for both the Deliver the Plan (S&OE) and Design the Plan (S&OP) and the processes/routines associated.
  • Leverage best-in-class process and strategy to manage a consensus forecast using insights such as promotional plans, distribution changes, shipment history, competitor activities and marketing plans.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to develop a 24-month, data-rooted, final consensus forecast for major business units
  • Act as a key player in the S&OP process as the process owner of Step 2
  • Act as a key player in the S&OE process as a contributor of short terms demand change updates and owner of actions from supply
  • Make recommendations to enhance business processes, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies
  • Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, obsolescence, and transitions to evaluate assumptions– new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization
  • Conduct root cause analyses of forecast error and identify corrective actions.

Experience You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field
  • 5 + years relevant Demand Planning / forecasting background
  • A fast-paced, multi-tasking expert with strong cross-functional project management capabilities
  • End to End Supply Chain knowledge and understanding; able to quickly make decisions based on analysis of current assumptions
  • Proven leadership ability (drive action, accountability, and influence decision making at any level)
  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, linking root cause to action to KPI improvement
  • Knowledge to configure both statistical forecasting and consensus demand planning in Kinaxis would be an advantage

Behaviors You’ll Need

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to present recommendations concisely to cross functional partners and gain support for consensus plans rooted in data and assumptions.

  • Travel
