We typically work from our base offices in Epsom, London, Swindon, Chelmsford, Bristol, Nottingham, Edinburgh two days a week, and three days from home.

Join as an Associate Lighting Designer in our Specialist and Architectural Lighting Team. We work on diverse projects across the UK and overseas, focusing on digitalisation and sustainable lighting solutions that transform lives and work environments. You will be a senior member, supporting both natural and artificial lighting schemes from concept to construction, emphasizing sustainability and net zero carbon.

Your purpose:

  • Create innovative lighting solutions for a variety of projects including commercial, residential, and public spaces.
  • Manage and deliver lighting projects from concept to handover.
  • Provide lighting consultancy and design support for interior and exterior projects.
  • Present and refine design proposals with clients and stakeholders.
  • Engage with clients to ensure lighting solutions meet project goals, including low carbon innovations.
  • Support technical leadership and guide clients throughout project phases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Participate in meetings and site visits to assess lighting needs and progress.
  • Promote good lighting design within the industry and at events.
  • Ensure quality, professionalism, and timely delivery of all work, mentoring team members.

What you can bring:

  • Experience in delivering diverse lighting concepts for interior and exterior applications.
  • Strong understanding of lighting principles, sustainability, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with advanced lighting controls and smart technologies.
  • Proficiency in lighting design software (DIALux, Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Photoshop).
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation and reports for approvals.
  • Recognition as a lighting expert by peers.
  • Knowledge of standards such as BREEAM, LEED, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to propose low carbon solutions, engage stakeholders, and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects collaboratively.
