Job summary

Google LLC in the United Kingdom seeks an Associate Legal Counsel for its EMEA Ads Legal team. You will draft and negotiate broad commercial agreements across EMEA, shaping ad technology partnerships and data-driven products.

You will advise on UK and European digital advertising laws, data protection, and competition issues, collaborating with sales, product, and Global Affairs to scale compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of UK private practice or in-house legal team experience.
• Experience in contract, commercial, IP, and IT/technology law; advice on data protection and privacy (GDPR; ePrivacy).
• Preferred: experience in online advertising, digital media, or technology sectors.
• Preferred: experience negotiating multi-jurisdictional tech and commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements with advertisers, agencies, and partners across EMEA.
• Develop expertise in Google Ads, Analytics, and Commerce; collaborate with sales and product to launch new initiatives.
• Advise senior management on complex agreement structures, risks, and the application of English law.
• Advise on the interpretation and practical application of UK/European laws affecting digital advertising for scaled compliance.
• Improve team operations by designing streamlined processes, self-service guidance, and scalable contracting.
