About the role

UCL Department of Political Science wishes to appoint a fixed-term Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Public Policy. The Associate Lecturer is expected to deliver a single module in Term 2 of the academic year -26: POLS. For the full module description, see: [link]. They may also be asked to second mark one module delivered by another staff member. The role includes lecture and seminar teaching, student support, and personal tutoring. The postholder will be expected to mark assignments and hold office hours during term time. All necessary module materials will be provided. The role runs from 1 January to 30 June (6 months) at FTE. The salary is grade 7, between £47,000 and £52,000, including London Allowance.

About You

Applicants should hold a PhD in Political Science or related field, or be enrolled in a PhD program. They should have excellent knowledge of relevant academic literature and methods, and be able to communicate clearly and support students compassionately. Teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level is desirable.
