About the role

We are seeking passionate and dynamic Associate Lecturers to join our Higher Education team at the Fashion Retail Academy. Successful candidates will be instrumental in shaping the educational journey of our students across Levels 4, 5, and 6, fostering industry-relevant skills and creative excellence. We are seeking Associate Lecturers with expertise in Fashion Communications & Styling.

As an Associate Lecturer, you will plan, organise and deliver exceptional teaching activities for this module, ensuring every student receives the highest quality teaching, learning and feedback, successfully preparing them for roles in industry. You will be responsible for creating and delivering industry relevant module content, in line with the course and wider programme objectives.

Please note that we are always on the lookout for talented Lecturers to join the FRA and are continuing to grow as an organisation so this opportunity could lead to a permanent post.

About you

  • Experience: Industry experience in fashion styling ranging from commercial, product and editorial spheres, fashion publishing and communications and experience in teaching or training, preferably in higher education.
  • Expertise: This role is suited to a subject specialist who is passionate about delivering a highly industry-relevant and student-centred curriculum.
  • Passion: Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for fostering a collaborative learning environment is essential for the role.

Salary:

Hourly rate: £42.00 per teaching hour, inclusive of preparation and associated pedagogic work. Non-teaching duties across provisions, including course development work, are paid at £23.85 per hour inclusive.
