Qualifications

  • Experience in mentoring or leading a small team of artists is a plus.

As an Associate Lead Lighting Artist, you will actively contribute to the visual storytelling of our game through innovative lighting design. You will work under the guidance of the Lead Lighting Artist to execute the artistic vision of the project while also mentoring junior artists. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our lighting setups not only enhance the aesthetic but also support gameplay and immersion.

Your role will involve creating and refining lighting for various game environments, collaborating with art and design teams to ensure visual cohesion, and providing feedback on lighting workflows. You will also help establish and maintain lighting guidelines and best practices, ensuring a consistent approach across all aspects of lighting in our games.

  • Strong experience as a Lighting Artist with a portfolio showcasing your work
  • Solid understanding of lighting techniques, colour theory, and composition
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software (e.g. Unreal Engine, Maya)
  • Experience in mentoring or leading a small team of artists is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating immersive game experiences
  • Ability to adapt to feedback and iterate on lighting designs based on playtests and team input
