Overview

Role – Associate Landscape Architect. Location – Remote. Salary – £DOE. Lead Careers are working with a multidisciplinary consultancy in Liverpool seeking an Associate Landscape Architect with expertise in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) to join the team on a 100% remote basis. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from large-scale infrastructure developments to smaller environmental schemes, delivering sustainable, high-quality landscape designs that balance development needs with environmental and visual sensitivity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs).
  • Develop detailed landscape designs and proposals.
  • Conduct site surveys, landscape character assessments, and visual impact analysis to inform design decisions and LVIA reporting.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports, visualisations, and supporting documents for planning applications and consultations.
  • Advise clients and project teams on the landscape and visual implications of developments, providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, ecologists, and engineers.
  • Client liaison.
  • Assist in business development activities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Extensive experience in delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA).
  • Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or working towards chartership.
  • Proven experience in managing and preparing LVIAs across various sectors.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS, as well as experience with visualization tools such as SketchUp or Revit.
  • Excellent report-writing skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A comprehensive understanding of UK planning processes and environmental legislation.
  • A full UK driving licence.
