Job summary

Lead Careers is seeking an Associate Landscape Planner in Manchester to contribute to a broad portfolio including residential, infrastructure, renewable energy, and urban regeneration. You will prepare LVIA and landscape planning reports, supporting masterplanning and design strategies while collaborating with environmental, planning and engineering colleagues.

The role offers a strong project pipeline within a large multidisciplinary practice, with flexible hybrid working and comprehensive

Qualifications

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Experience delivering LVIA/landscape assessments
  • Experience in landscape and urban design projects
  • Experience managing landscape design during construction
  • Proficiency in Autodesk and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Fluent English with strong communication
  • Full driving licence and right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Independently managing projects
  • Strategic and feasibility studies
  • Landscape and visual assessment (LVIA) for linear and site-based projects
  • Townscape and visual assessment (TVIA)
  • Preliminary and detailed design including GA drawings
  • Hard & soft construction detailing, schedules & specifications for planning
  • Tender and construction packages, inspections
  • Develop relationships with existing and new clients in public and private sectors
  • Support bids ranging from small to complex multi-disciplinary projects
  • Manage and delegate work to junior team members
  • Client liaison

Job description

Role - Associate Landscape Planner

Location - Manchester

Salary - £DOE

An opportunity has arisen for a Associate Landscape Planner to join the landscape team of a large multidisciplinary consultancy. The practice has offices across the UK and internationally, with this position based in their Manchester office.

The role will involve contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential and mixed-use developments, infrastructure schemes, renewable energy projects, urban regeneration, and strategic landscape and green infrastructure planning. You will play a key role in preparing LVIAs, landscape planning reports, and providing input into masterplanning and design strategies, working closely with colleagues across environmental, planning, and engineering disciplines.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and collaborative team, with access to a strong pipeline of projects and the support of a large, well-resourced organisation.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT/PLANNER KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • A degree/post graduate degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Experience delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments
  • Experience in the successful delivery of landscape and urban design projects
  • Experience of managing landscape design during the construction phase
  • Excellent technical skills and proficiency in Autodesk and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • A full & clean driving licence and full right to work in the UK
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the preparation of bids ranging from small to complex multi-disciplinary projects..
