Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Landscape Architect to join a well-established environmental and landscape consultancy near Ashwell. You will contribute to a range of UK projects, delivering high-quality landscape design, assessment and environmental solutions, balancing development with the natural landscape.

The role offers opportunities for career development within a collaborative team, ongoing training, and support towards Chartership where applicable, with hybrid working and generous

Qualifications

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
  • Working towards Chartership.
  • Experience in UK landscape architecture or environmental consultancy.
  • Strong design, technical, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office; GIS and SketchUp advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of UK planning policy and landscape guidance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare landscape designs, masterplans, and detailed technical drawings.
  • Produce Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs), Landscape Appraisals, and supporting reports where appropriate.
  • Assist with all stages of project delivery, from initial concept through to implementation.
  • Create high-quality graphics, visualisations, and presentation material.
  • Work closely with clients, planners, ecologists, architects, and other environmental specialists.
  • Attend site visits, client meetings, and project consultations.
  • Manage project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of technical and creative output.

Landscape Architect

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a creative and motivated Landscape Architect to join a well-established environmental and landscape consultancy based near Ashwell. Working as part of a collaborative and experienced team, the successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of projects across the UK, delivering high-quality landscape design and environmental solutions. Qualifications

  • Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (or be working towards Chartership).
  • Previous experience within a UK landscape architecture or environmental consultancy.
  • Strong design, technical, and report‑writing skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office, with GIS and SketchUp experience considered advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of UK planning policy and landscape guidance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
