Position:
The Associate role is a leadership position responsible for managing the design and delivery of multiple large-scale interior design projects from concept to completion. This includes driving creative direction, overseeing project execution, leading teams, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development. The role requires balancing high-level design vision with operational and strategic project management to ensure outcomes align with client expectations and quality standards. It is a senior designer opportunity to take creative and project lead on boutique hospitality schemes from concept through to completion. You’ll collaborate closely with the founder and senior leadership, managing multiple high-end hotel projects as well as select private residential or commercial briefs. This is a pivotal hire within a growing team, with the opportunity to shape the design direction of award-nominated projects while mentoring junior designers and overseeing delivery.
Candidate:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong conceptual design skills, creativity, and attention to detail, particularly in materials and spatial storytelling. They must have a track record of leadership and team management, including mentoring and overseeing performance. Effective client engagement and presentation abilities are essential, along with a strategic mindset to align design with business goals. Proficiency in design software and construction documentation is required, as well as adaptability to changing project needs and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Performance will be assessed based on project timeliness, client satisfaction, design quality, and process efficiency.
