Job description

Are you a Civil Infrastructure Engineer looking to grow your technical and operational expertise across the world? Buro Happold is seeking an Associate Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Group in London.

Working as part of the UK Infrastructure Group, you will provide solutions to local infrastructure and utility needs, and plan entire cities globally. We offer an integrated multi-disciplinary service throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to design and implementation.

Your next role:

Be part of an exceptional team tackling technically demanding projects and challenges.

Be at the forefront of industry changes such as reducing embodied carbon and adopting modern infrastructure design methods.

Key Duties:

  • Manage the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, review civil infrastructure designs from proposal to construction, and plan project resources and finances.
  • Manage technical staff, plan team workload, mentor staff, and develop junior team members.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
  • Contribute to work winning efforts to secure new projects for the group.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Strong technical background in infrastructure design with experience in leading a core infrastructure discipline (Highways, Utilities, or Sustainable Drainage).
  • Experience in delivering successful international multidisciplinary projects, with excellent team management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and MicroDrainage.
  • Membership in a relevant professional institution.
