Job description

Join us as our Associate Head of Data Engineering and help us develop our data capabilities to make a difference.

The NSPCC data and analytics hub has a remit to manage and analyse our data to drive better insights across the NSPCC and we are looking for an Associate Head of Data Engineering as a key member of the data and analytics hub leadership team.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the data engineering and data architecture developments across the organisation, including for two large technology change projects.
  • Grow and develop the data engineering team to have the knowledge and skills they need to deliver on this.
  • Work with technical colleagues to ensure technology solutions address business need whilst adhering to safe cyber security practices.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading data engineering teams.
  • Strong experience in coaching and supporting more junior data engineers.
  • Experience in building cloud native data products and platforms. A strong grounding in DevOps best practice including IaC tools. Experience with Azure and Databricks an advantage.
  • Experience in data automation and integration tools.
  • Proven experience in data architecture, including designing data models and platforms.
