Join our Group Associate Governance (AG) team—a small, high-performing group at the heart of Bupa’s strategic decision-making and a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international healthcare governance, strategy, and finance within one of our most dynamic markets.
Led by our Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, you’ll help oversee our shareholder interests in dynamic joint ventures in Saudi Arabia. The Associate Governance Analyst will assist in managing Bupa’s shareholder interests in each investment by reviewing and addressing financial, commercial and strategic issues, and supporting executive decision-making.
How you’ll make health happen
Assist with the execution of assignments and ad-hoc projects related to Bupa’s governance of the Associates
Support the formulation of financial, commercial and strategic views on cross-functional assignments and ad-hoc projects (including business case reviews and funding requests) through detailed analysis and research
Establish effective working relationships with colleagues from internal Group Functions and the Associates to drive inputs for assignments and projects
Assist in the production of high-quality Bupa board-level documents and board briefing materials for Bupa representatives on the Boards of the Associates
Deliver presentations and briefing materials for regular AG meetings
Assist in the review of regular business performance reports through monthly reviews, including the analysis of financial data and other key performance indicators (KPIs), and assist in the preparation of related briefing materials
Prepare briefing materials ahead of Associate related committee, Board and CEC meetings
Provide support on complex shareholder issues and large-scale projects
Provide active management support on large-scale projects – including assisting with planning, project management, and contributing to project deliverables
Support with the analysis and framing of complex shareholder issues to stakeholders
Strengthen fundamental skills, overall healthcare knowledge in relation to the Associates and their markets
Develop technical skills and commercial acumen through on-the-job training and coaching from the Group AG team and wider Group Strategy and Transformation team
Develop knowledge of the healthcare sector, Bupa, the Associates and their market environment
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Significant experience in a similar/same role, or role of corporate finance, financial analysis, or commercial strategy. Healthcare sector experience is desirable.
Demonstratable experience of financial analysis: analytical and technical capability to critically analyse and synthesise financial and operational data, identifying key trends and considering their implications
Strong commercial acumen and problem solving, with the ability to propose commercial insights and recognise interconnected issues
Knowledge of core strategy principles is preferred.
Strong time management skills, resourcefulness with the ability to manage multiple, evolving priorities and effectively deliver assignments.
Takes personal ownership and is open-minded, intellectually curious and collaborative in approach.
Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills, confident engaging cross-functionally.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to significantly contribute to high-quality presentations and Board materials
