Bridgewater Consultancy UK Ltd in Manchester is seeking an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to lead and grow a geotechnical design team, with hands-on project leadership and client engagement.

You will help develop the geotechnical practice, manage ground investigations and bids, mentor staff, and ensure delivery on infrastructure projects while upholding UK standards.

This senior role offers progression into leadership and business development within a multidisciplinary consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in geotechnical design consultancy, ideally UK infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge across foundations, slope stability, earthworks and ground improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver geotechnical design projects across infrastructure sectors.
• Review and approve geotechnical interpretative reports and design deliverables.
• Manage ground investigation subcontractors and programmes.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Support growth of the Manchester geotechnical team through recruitment and mentoring.
