Meta is seeking an Associate General Counsel specializing in Competition and Regulatory to lead legal strategies related to competition law and oversee regulatory inquiries. This role requires a law degree and significant experience in handling competition and antitrust matters, especially in the technology sector.
Associate General Counsel, Competition & Regulatory
Meta seeks a highly motivated and experienced lawyer to serve as Associate General Counsel, Competition and Regulatory. This position will help manage the company’s legal position and strategy on competition and antitrust related product and business strategies. This position will help lead and develop legal teams focusing on competition and antitrust issues.
Associate General Counsel, Competition & Regulatory Responsibilities
Represent the company in connection with regulatory inquiries and consultations encompassing competition and antitrust frameworks
Develop and implement long-term regulatory strategy in conjunction with business leadership
Develop legal strategy in connection with competition review of mergers and acquisitions by regulators
Oversee legal advice assessing impact of competition laws on current and planned product and business initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Meta requires all employed attorneys to have a law degree or equivalent certificate to permit the practice of law and be appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law for the company in their assigned work location. Unless prohibited under local law, an attorney must hold a current practicing certificate (including where required from the relevant authority in the jurisdiction of the assigned work location) or the local law equivalent bar registration or license as may be applicable
Significant experience in regulatory proceedings
Significant competition experience, including knowledge of competition frameworks in the EU and other jurisdictions, and engagement with applicable regulatory bodies in merger review and/or investigative contexts
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative and pragmatic approaches and business-focused solutions to regulatory challenges and developments
Experience maintaining open, candid, and trusting work relationships
Preferred Qualifications
Experience representing technology companies in regulatory matters strongly preferred
