Job summary

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) invites applications for an ambitious academic role in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and will play a lead role in collaborative research projects and ongoing original research and publications in Mathematical Sciences.

Candidates must have a PhD degree and preferably postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in Applied Mathematics or Statistics, and excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Experience of supervising PhD and Master students, and successful acquisition of external research funding is essential.

The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 5 years starting September 2027. This contract may be extended by mutual agreement.

Interviews will take place in Ningbo, China and likely interview dates are around April-May 2027, but they are subject to change.
