This is an opportunity for an Associate Fire Engineer to join our thriving team and develop the South-East region based out of our London office. Our Fire Engineering team is one of the UK’s largest within a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy. It has a reputation for quality and responsiveness, resulting in exceptional growth across regional, national, and international projects.

You will work closely with colleagues across various disciplines within the London and South East region, managing a project portfolio that includes high-profile projects for regional, national, and international clients.

We are a close-knit team that values collaboration and ideas from all members. The Fire Engineering Division operates across six regions in the UK and internationally, with over 100 staff.

Your Role

As an Associate Fire Engineer, you will manage fire engineering projects, support the Fire Engineering Director, lead a team of up to ten engineers, and develop new client relationships.

Requirements
  • BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng or equivalent qualification
  • Ideally affiliated with IFE or equivalent, with chartership in progress or achieved
  • Proven experience managing a project portfolio at senior/principal level
  • Understanding of planning processes and Building Safety Act
  • Knowledge of fire safety standards (e.g., BS 9991, BS 9999, BS 9251, NFCC recommendations)
  • Experience with façade/cladding inspection (e.g., PAS 9980)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams, develop business, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated
