IQVIA seeks an innovative epidemiologist to join the Center for Advanced Evidence Generation. This role involves driving innovation in patient health through expert consultation on study design and statistical methods, while contributing to the leadership of the department globally.

This innovative epidemiologist role sits in the Center for Advanced Evidence Generation (CAEG) at IQVIA and reports directly to the Chief Scientific Officer. CAEG works alongside scientific teams across IQVIA and is responsible for driving innovation in patient health, with a focus on the use of real-world evidence (RWE) for regulatory decision-making, and the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) as tools in research. Our close-knit team collaborates across the business, both internally at IQVIA and externally with industry groups and public-private partnerships.
Job Overview:
Drive innovation by collaborating across IQVIA’s scientific, technical, and product development teams to generate thought leadership and provide epidemiologic expertise on study design and interpretation for innovative studies.
Provide expert consultation and guidance to internal project teams, other departments, divisions of IQVIA, and clients in areas including observational study methods, statistical methods, and AI/ML to ensure high scientific validity and integrity of results.
Support the writing of protocols, manuscripts, and other study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of output and final content.
Contribute to department leadership within the region (US, EMEA, or APAC) and globally as needed, including supporting new business development, creation of new products, media, publications, and client projects.
Requirements:
PhD (or equivalent degree) in epidemiology, data science, or a closely related scientific discipline, with sound methodological training in epidemiology and at least 7 years of experience.
Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
Strong writing skills, experience with publication in scientific journals, delivering scientific presentations, and engaging in cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to provide scientific oversight and methodological guidance on study protocols.
Strong background and experience in rigorous study design and epidemiologic methods, with an interest in AI/ML.
In addition to quantitative and methodological skills, we seek a team player who is capable of critical and creative thinking in scientific approaches.
