What’s the opportunity?

An Associate Engineering Manager oversees the consistent delivery and operation of a high-quality product. You will be the primary contact for all aspects of product delivery, including engineering, testing, and work sequencing, collaborating closely with the Engineering & Product Director to ensure the product meets customer and business needs. Your focus is on “How will we build it right?” and fostering a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Team health: preparing team members for career growth, balancing learning and delivery, and supporting process excellence.
2. System fitness: refining product architecture in response to new requirements and risks.
3. Predictable delivery: negotiating and maintaining delivery timelines with a focus on quality, risk, and value.
4. Setting standards: exemplifying quality, engagement, commitment, continual improvement, and data-driven decisions.

What does good look like?

• Held the role of Senior Software Engineer or above for 2+ years
• Strong technical background in software development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Ability to develop and implement engineering strategies
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in fast-paced environments
• Residency in the UK for at least three years (additional vetting required)
