Associate Engineer, Flood Risk and Drainage, COR7242

The Role
- As the Associate Engineer for Flood Risk and Drainage, you’ll lead a small team delivering Flood Risk Assessments, SuDS designs, and flood alleviation schemes from concept to construction. You’ll play a key role in both technical delivery and commercial performance, including the preparation of fee proposals, project management, and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficiency in MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, and Flow is essential, while experience with QGIS, river modelling software, and highways/earthworks design would be a bonus.

What’s Required?
- The ideal candidate for this Associate Engineer role will have:
- Strong Flood Risk Engineering experience, including experience in a consultancy environment
- Strong technical background in flood risk assessments and SuDS drainage strategies
- Experience delivering flood alleviation schemes and knowledge of planning policy and drainage guidance
- Proficiency with MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, and Flow software
- A degree in Civil Engineering and working towards or holding CEng (MICE or CIWEM)
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage projects, develop junior team members, and win new business
