Our client, a leading international and independent real estate consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) to join their dynamic Operational Engineering team. With a strong reputation for innovation and a collaborative culture, this firm is experiencing rapid growth and needs a capable professional to help drive their continued success in their Birmingham office. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a varied role, supporting high-profile clients across commercial office and industrial sectors. From technical due diligence and dilapidations to refurbishment projects and energy performance analysis, no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting dilapidation assessments and technical due diligence reports
• Producing detailed CAPEX and planned preventative maintenance reports
• Leading and managing engineering projects from inception to completion
• Supporting wider teams with technical guidance and maintenance strategies
• Identifying opportunities for service innovation and process improvement
• Ensuring KPIs and project metrics are met across all work streams
• Building strong client relationships and supporting business development initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in engineering with building services content or equivalent practical experience
• Strong consultancy or M&E project engineering background
• Excellent communication skills with a client-facing approach
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, building service regulations, and operational systems
• Proficiency in evaluating and advising on systems including electrical distribution, ventilation (e.g. VAV, heat recovery), and heating
