Job summary

WSP’s UK Engagement and Consultation team is seeking an experienced leader to shape how major infrastructure projects connect with communities. You will guide engagement across water, transport, energy and environmental sectors and lead distributed teams across the UK.

As part of the Planning and Consents business, you will drive best practice, build strategic client relationships, and deliver projects on time with a focus on training and development for engagement specialists.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading engagement across large infrastructure projects.
• Degree-qualified or equivalent.
• Membership of relevant professional or trade body desirable.
• Experience in water, transport, energy, environment or utility sectors.

Responsibilities

• Managing and enabling your team to deliver engagement and consultation activities across multidisciplinary projects.
• Commercial responsibility for tender production and business development opportunities.
• Embed global communications and engagement best practice.
• Advise project teams on stakeholder and community strategies for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Develop and implement training programmes for the team.
• Plan and deliver stakeholder communications and consultations, manage risks and public events.
• Project manage schemes with resourcing, budget and delivery to programme.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Act as a people manager for engagement specialists.
