About The Role
These are exciting times at ARAG Law as we are going through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing Employment Law department.
The department manage all aspects of employment law, from advising an employee on pursuing an unfair dismissal claim, or a claim for unpaid wages, to defending claims of whistleblowing and discrimination on behalf of respondents. As well as acting for employees and employers during the litigation process, they also provide advisory HR services such as drafting contracts & policies or guiding and supporting businesses through the complexity of employment law requirements.
About the role:
We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Employment team as an Associate, working in the Private Client team, on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
In this role you’ll handle a variety of private client employment work, from initial referral to conclusion. This will involve non-contentious work, such as advice on settlement agreement terms, drafting and negotiation of settlement agreements, contracts of employment and handbooks and policies. You’ll also support with drafting and reviewing letters for employers and employees, advising on employment processes, assisting with ACAS EC and handling private litigation cases.
We drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling, so you’ll ensure our customers always receive the highest standard of service, and you’ll adhere to regulatory and company processes, whilst considering the cost aspects.

This is a hybrid role – minimum 2 days per week in the office. You can work full-time or part-time (4 days a week, or the equivalent hours), and you can be based in either our Bristol City Centre office or our Bedwas office in South Wales.
