Foot Anstey is seeking an Employment Associate to join its growing Employment team on a hybrid basis from Bristol, Exeter or Plymouth. The role offers both contentious and non-contentious work, including tribunal claims, with opportunities for direct client contact and business development.

You will advise on employment matters across sectors, including retail, consumer, and charity, and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team known for pragmatic, high-quality guidance.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll:

• Undertake a mixture of contentious and non-contentious work with a significant focus on tribunal claims and day to day employee relations advice to clients predominantly in the retail & consumer, developer and energy and infrastructure sectors
• Have access to direct client contact and involvement in business development and training for clients
• Work as one team across our geographic spread, the commerciality of our approach, our industry and sector knowledge and excellent communication will enable you to deliver great business outcomes for your clients.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in employment law including both general advisory and litigation.
• In line with our sector approach, ideally you will be able to strengthen our approach to our sectors, in particular retail & consumer and charity sectors.
• Delivery of a solutions led approach, being agile and flexible to the challenge ahead of you
