Job description

These are exciting times at ARAG Law as we are experiencing positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing Employment Law department.

Our Employment Law team manages all aspects of employment law, from advising employees on unfair dismissal claims or unpaid wages to defending whistleblowing and discrimination claims on behalf of respondents. They also provide advisory HR services such as drafting contracts & policies, and guiding businesses through employment law complexities.

We’re seeking an Employment Associate to handle a variety of employment work, from initial referral to conclusion. This includes non-contentious work like advising on settlement agreement terms, drafting and negotiating settlement agreements, employment contracts, and policies.

We promote a culture of effective and efficient case handling, ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of service. You will adhere to regulatory and company processes while considering cost aspects.

There is an established pipeline of work, offering a great opportunity to enhance your profile. You will be part of a team with extensive experience, unrivalled support, and opportunities for growth and development.

This role can be hybrid—minimum 2 days per week in the office—if you live within a commutable distance of our Bristol City Centre or Bedwas offices. Fully remote candidates will also be considered, depending on experience. The role can be full-time or part-time (4 days a week or equivalent hours).

We encourage our employees to think independently, take ownership of their work, and work flexibly to achieve a healthy work-life balance. We offer a competitive salary and benefits, including:

  • 26 days holiday with the option to buy up to 5 additional days
  • Company Pension Scheme with optional increased contributions
  • Group Income Protection
  • Group Legal Protection
  • European Motor Assistance and Home Emergency Assistance
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Access to Employee Discounts Hub
  • Option to join Sports & Social Club for discounted events

If you believe you are a good fit and can demonstrate transferable experience, please apply, even if you do not meet all the listed criteria.
