Aon is seeking an Associate Employee Benefits Consultant – Health and Risk, based in Farnborough or London with hybrid working. You will support Principal Consultants, deliver high-quality health and risk advice, and help manage client relationships and renewals across a portfolio of large corporate clients.

• Participate in client meetings and take increasing ownership of presentations and workstreams.

Associate Employee Benefits Consultant – Health and Risk

Location: Farnborough or London | Working pattern: Hybrid

The opportunity

Join our Health and Risk Consulting team and develop a career advising organisations on employee benefits that protect their people, manage cost and strengthen workforce resilience. Working alongside experienced consultants, you will turn client and market data into clear recommendations, contribute to renewals and strategic reviews, and progressively take ownership of client relationships and delivery.

You can be based from either Farnborough or London. The role combines virtual working with attendance at your base office and client sites in line with business and client needs.

What your day will look like

As an Associate Employee Benefits Consultant, you will work alongside a Principal Consultant and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality advice and service across a portfolio of large corporate Health and Risk clients.

Your work will include renewal and market-review activity, benefit benchmarking, claims and utilisation analysis, benefit design, provider engagement, client reporting and implementation follow-through.

Responsibility will increase as you demonstrate the required capability and gain experience: from owning defined workstreams and presenting agreed recommendations to managing day-to-day relationships and, when ready, a small portfolio of your own clients.

Your responsibilities

Client delivery

• Coordinate day-to-day client activity, actions, deliverables and timelines with the Principal Consultant and wider client team.
• Produce accurate, decision-ready reports, presentations, meeting materials and recommendations.
• Analyse client information, benchmark findings, claims and utilisation data to identify risks, priorities and practical options.
• Contribute to renewals, market reviews and broking activity, engaging with providers and Aon’s specialist broking colleagues.
• Participate in client meetings and take increasing ownership of presentations and agreed workstreams.

Technical and market development

• Develop knowledge of health and risk products, insurers, providers, policy terms, market practice and Aon propositions.
• Research market developments and translate relevant trends into useful client insight.
• Understand how benefit design, funding, eligibility, claims experience and employee engagement influence cost and outcomes.
• Apply Aon’s data and analytics tools appropriately to inform recommendations and measure value.

Commercial contribution

• Recognise emerging client needs and identify opportunities to deliver additional value.
• Contribute to a strong client experience that supports retention, growth and trusted-adviser relationships.

Governance and teamwork

• Maintain clear records, follow agreed processes and deliver work to the required quality and timescales.
• Collaborate effectively across consulting, broking, analytics and client service delivery teams.
• Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and all relevant policies.
