Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Are you able to design, build, and test electronic circuits and printed circuit boards?

Are you keen to build your skills and develop your career in engineering?

You will join a product development team, working on hardware products and solutions to enhance security. You may not know all the details yet, but you will learn quickly.

You will use your technical knowledge and ideas to create and maintain electronic hardware for custom-designed security products to meet the needs of partners both domestically and internationally.

Expect varied tasks: modifying existing designs, collaborating on new product development, and working with multidisciplinary teams.

You will receive training and support to develop in this role, including a training budget for external courses. You will also have time allocated for innovation and research.

More About You

To apply, you should have:

  • Experience in designing and testing analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • An understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential, you might also have:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, equivalent to a 2:2 degree or higher.
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience in RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Good knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

  • Designing, developing, and documenting electronic PCB systems to high standards.
  • Verifying designs through tests and peer reviews.
  • Supporting products and investigating defects.
  • Contributing to library parts creation and management.
  • Participating in project planning and meetings.
