Job summary

Waterman Group in Manchester is seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team. You will lead electrical design and delivery for a range of building projects, taking ownership of technical delivery and client engagement.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure designs comply with British Standards and Building Regulations. A Chartered Engineer status or working toward chartership is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Building Services/MEP consultancy.
• Strong experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical design from concept through to completion.
• Ensure technical quality and delivery of electrical engineering packages.
• Design and review LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment, fire alarm, earthing.
• Produce and review calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines.
• Attend and lead client and design team meetings with clear technical advice.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Support fee proposals, tenders and bids.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new work.
