Available Shift Patterns: 24/7 on a rotational basis

Interviews: Recruitment evenings on Tuesday 17th June (8pm-9pm) and Wednesday 18th June (8pm-9pm). Please keep both times free. Second interviews in W/C 23rd June.

Start Date: 21st July. The first 4 weeks of training will be Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm.

Role Overview: We seek Associate Education Monitoring Analysts to support our Smoothwall Monitor Managed Service by monitoring students' online activities worldwide to identify safeguarding risks and liaise with Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) when needed. The role requires keen attention to detail, understanding of online youth culture, and the ability to work quickly and accurately.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Content assessment including monitoring keystrokes and screenshots
  • Identifying and flagging safeguarding risks to schools/DSLs
  • Contacting DSLs/Schools about critical risks (e.g., suicide, illegal content)
  • Providing timely responses and handling high content volumes efficiently
  • Collaborating with team members for incident reviews and escalating complex cases
  • Monitoring emerging online trends and sharing insights with the team

Essential Requirements:

  • High proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • Strong IT skills, familiarity with social media, online games, and youth apps
  • Understanding of online culture and norms
  • Decisiveness and ability to act swiftly
  • Calm, empathetic approach in challenging situations
  • Strong work ethic and focus for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in web/content moderation
  • Experience with vulnerable populations or safeguarding laws
