Job summary
Urban Green, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking an Associate Ecologist in Manchester to lead a portfolio of ecological projects, mentoring junior ecologists and supporting business development. You will ensure high-quality delivery, compliance with UK legislation, and strong client relationships in a hybrid work environment.
You will bring consultancy experience, MCIEEM status, and a solid grounding in ecological assessments (PEA, EcIA, HRA), with a full UK driving licence and strong
Qualifications
- Degree (or higher) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- Full MCIEEM membership.
- Proven experience in consultancy ecology projects.
- Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of ecological projects from client liaison to completion.
- Mentor and manage junior ecologists.
- Contribute to business development and fee proposals.
- Maintain quality, health & safety standards and efficient delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Provide ECoW support on complex projects.
