Job Description

What is the opportunity? The role of Associate, Discretionary Investment Solutions, involves supporting the delivery of the British Isles discretionary investments models, aiding relationship managers, investment counsellors, and portfolio specialists in managing client portfolios. The position also offers analytical and product management support for the Discretionary Investment Management (DIM) service, contributing to its design and implementation to keep it relevant and competitive. RBC expects employees to work in the office from mid-September 2025, with some flexibility for remote work up to 1 day per week.

What will you do?

  • Provide analytical support to ensure models reflect the house view and risk parameters.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of the DIM service and its digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a smooth DIM service.
  • Support portfolio construction and provide performance data and analysis.
  • Assist with client risk profiling tools and related proposals.
  • Develop content and collateral for DIM solutions.
  • Manage data analytics and large data volumes for management information and projects.
  • Support economic and financial research for the British Isles Investment Committee.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Proficiency in Python/R and Excel.
  • Experience in financial services.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent Excel and VBA skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in multi-jurisdictional organizations.
