The Financial Services Business Tax Group at Deloitte is offering an exciting opportunity to work in one of the fastest growing areas within the Financial Services Industry. An opportunity exists at the Associate Director level in our Financial Services Transfer Pricing team.

We work with many of the world's leading financial services groups across the Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance, Investment Management and FinTech sectors. Being a trusted advisor and building long term relationships with such clients is key to being successful in the FSI sector. By working closely with Partners in the group it will allow you to develop and learn how to build such relationships whilst enhancing your own personal portfolio and networks.

Our Associate Directors take the lead on delivering key parts of our client services. As an Associate Director you will use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients. You will own or manage key elements of a client relationship and, with an appropriate level of support, will be expected to proactively identify innovative solutions for your clients and pursue new business development opportunities by utilising your networks and market knowledge. Our Associate Directors also act as coaches and role models to the Consultants and Analysts in their team. You will be a confident team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as continuing to build your own technical expertise or specialism.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Project managing and supporting all aspects of client work.
  • Compliance programs and audit defence.
  • Taking part in functional analysis interviews and undertaking economic analyses.
  • Preparing transfer pricing reports based on functional, comparability and economic analyses of the client's business, including using our market leading technology solution.
  • Working with senior staff, clients and HMRC in the development of advance pricing agreements and resolution of enquiries.
  • Supporting the Transfer Pricing Practice through the development of new services and analytical tools, and the assumption of practice management responsibilities.
  • Working with teams across Deloitte Tax & Legal, Technology & Transformation, Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory.
  • Working with Deloitte member firms across the globe on international advisory projects.

  • ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification – or relevant industry background.
  • Client driven with strong commercial awareness.
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
  • Able to develop innovative ideas and solutions, with the ability to think around a problem.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with ability to develop quality outputs.
  • Ability to work in structured Project teams.
  • Ability to plan and monitor projects, budget and timescale management and people.
