Our Transaction Services practice comprises approximately 500 people across the UK, organized to align with KPMG's market-oriented structure. It is central to the Firm's strategy to increase its engagement with boardrooms and work with clients across the economic and transaction cycle.

Our team collaborates closely with Deal Advisory, Tax, Audit, and other Advisory teams in a multi-disciplinary and international environment that embodies our One Firm ethos.

We are recruiting Associate Directors for our Private Equity, Financial Services, Corporates, and Capital Markets teams across the UK to support the growth of our TS business. Positions are available on a full-time, part-time, or FTC basis, with flexible working options to accommodate individual needs.

Associate Directors are appointed based on a proven track record. They are expected to play a key role in developing all aspects of the practice, including:

  1. Engagement management: Structuring and leading multiple large, complex workstreams in dynamic environments.
  2. Business development: Building and maintaining relationships with management teams, developing propositions focused on specific themes or clients.
  3. Risk management: Identifying and managing risks, ensuring proper implementation of risk frameworks.
  4. Developing People: Identifying development needs, establishing plans, coaching, and demonstrating firm values.
  5. Delivering quality services: Managing multiple priorities to provide high-quality client services.
  6. Advisory Skills: Using extensive experience to offer trusted advice.

Experience

Essential

  • Strong academic and numerate background (ACA or equivalent highly desirable)
  • Extensive experience managing advisory or transaction engagements
  • Strong personal impact and self-awareness
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and solution development abilities
  • Experience working effectively with senior management across diverse client bases, including corporates and PE clients
  • Ability to lead in high-performing, multidisciplinary teams

Expertise / Technical role requirements

  • Financial qualification such as ACA or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
