Due to strong growth in our Sustainable Water Management (SWM) business, we seek experienced professionals to join our team of over 300 water science and engineering experts. Your role will involve project delivery and technical capability enhancement in water environment and EIA projects for clients in the Highways and Energy Sectors.
The SWM team operates nationally with shared work, ensuring fair project allocation aligned with personal development goals. As a senior team member, you'll contribute to team growth, development, and resourcing.
We seek a professional with experience working with Highway Authorities and/or the energy sector, with a solid understanding of legislation such as DMRB, Water Framework Directive Regulations, Environmental Permitting Regulations, Flood and Water Management Act 2010, and the NPPF related to water environment. Preference for expertise in water quality, EIA, and sustainable drainage, with familiarity in other water disciplines for complex projects.
The position is at Associate Director level, with flexible UK location and hybrid working. Your main focus will be delivering and leading water environment and quality projects, advising Highway Authorities, and supporting policy development. Other tasks include leading water environment input for EIAs, managing technical, managerial, and commercial responsibilities, mentoring team members, and contributing to business development.
