The opportunity

KPMG's Strategy & Performance Transformation practice seeks exceptional Associate Director candidates with Energy Transition experience in Deal, Strategy, or a Commercial role.

The Strategy & Performance Transformation team is part of KPMG's expanding Strategy Group, delivering value through innovative thinking, industry insights, and rigorous execution. We collaborate across KPMG's Deal Advisory capabilities.

Our team works closely with senior executives to grow, transform, and transact, creating value amidst global changes like decarbonisation and digitalisation. We focus on executing sustainable, fair, and profitable business strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the team, increasing sector presence.
  • Identify new opportunities and contribute to winning work.
  • Build relationships with key clients and advisors.
  • Advise on high-profile projects, including net zero strategies, decarbonisation, and low carbon technologies.
  • Apply structured strategic approaches and creative thinking to problem-solving.
  • Manage project delivery, including delegating tasks, client interactions, and budget tracking.
  • Own proposals for new energy sector business opportunities.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of the energy sector, including policy and regulation.
