Job description

Our purpose at Health Innovation West of England (HIWE) is to transform lives through innovation. Our remit, working closely with local systems and stakeholders, is to develop a pipeline of evidence-based innovations and support their adoption across the systems we serve.

In April 2024, we published our five-year strategy, outlining our priorities to ensure communities in the West of England benefit from health and care innovations, with a focus on prevention, early intervention, reducing health inequalities, and leveraging data and digital solutions to improve outcomes.

As we implement our strategy, we aim to expand our collaboration capabilities with community organizations, local authorities, public health, industry, academia, and wider networks including the national Health Innovation Network.

The postholder will lead this expanded collaboration and manage a portfolio of projects, including third-party innovation projects beyond our core national commissions.

Strategic Partnership and Programme Delivery

To work with HIWE's integrated care, health innovation, and research systems—such as local authorities and community organizations—in designing and delivering strategic projects and engagement activities.

• Deepen relationships with key stakeholders across health innovation, social care, and partner organizations.
• Lead and oversee the programme team supporting the strategic partnership and delivery portfolio.
• Model best practices, share learnings, and promote innovation within the organization and beyond.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to achieve shared goals aligned with our strategic objectives.

Business Development and Growth

Contribute to expanding our business development pipeline, securing funding from various sources, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Support HIWE's 'shift left' strategy by securing additional partnership funding with system partners.
