Job summary

AECOM in the United Kingdom is seeking an Associate Director - Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy to lead delivery on wind, solar, hydro and energy storage projects. You will guide design, manage client relationships and develop the team’s technical capabilities across UK, Ireland, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This role requires a strong structural background, Chartered status or active pursuit, and CDAE is advantageous; you’ll mentor graduates and coordinate multi-disciplinary design

Qualifications

• Strong technical focus with a background in structural engineering.
• Experience in energy sector, preferably renewable energy systems.
• Demonstrates a high degree of technical competency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead project delivery and maintain client relationships.
• Lead and grow the team’s technical engineering capabilities.
• Review and generate technical and contractual information from internal and external sources.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design of renewable energy infrastructure.
• Respond to technical queries raised by project teams.
• Act as Lead Verifier on projects including technical feasibility studies and design reports as lead structural engineer.
• Direct staff and mentor graduate engineers.

Education

BEng (Hons) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Chartered status or actively working towards chartership

CDAE certification is advantageous
