Purpose of Role

As an Associate Director, you will be part of the Real Estate Tax team experiencing significant growth, with Real Estate as a strategic focus sector for the firm.

If you possess specific experience in Real Estate and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, this role could be suitable for you. Candidates should have excellent technical skills applicable in advisory and compliance roles, along with strong client and project management skills to support senior team members in delivering advice and expanding client accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage your own portfolio of clients, working with Partners/Directors (or independently) on complex tax consultancy and compliance projects for clients in the real estate sector.
• Lead transactional work and oversee tax structuring and due diligence related to client M&A activities, coordinating with specialist teams as needed.
• Assist the Partner/Director team with business development efforts for existing and prospective clients, and support colleagues with chargeable and non-chargeable work.
• Mentor and develop junior staff through delegation, on-the-job training, and performance appraisals, acting as a Line Manager.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or CTA, or equivalent legal qualification with broad knowledge of tax.

Experience and Skills:

• Significant UK corporate tax experience within a professional or industry setting, particularly in a Real Estate team.
• Strong understanding of specialist taxes relevant to the real estate sector.
• Excellent client and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Demonstrated people management experience.
