Associate Director – Ratings Business Analytics – Data (Manchester)

Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an Associate Director based in Manchester.

The Ratings Business Analytics team provides high-quality, strategic analysis to improve Fitch Ratings' outcomes. The team collaborates with Ratings Operations leaders on business transformation initiatives, including developing business cases, evaluating costs and benefits, and reviewing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data acquisition and analysis from internal and external sources to generate insights on Fitch’s performance and market position.
• Support the creation of presentations for senior management, highlighting findings and strategic insights.
• Manage monthly management reports on operational metrics and productivity using tools like MS Excel, Alteryx, Power BI, and QlikView.
• Enhance reporting efficiency through automation, leveraging Alteryx where applicable.
• Handle ad-hoc data requests, demonstrating a thorough understanding of data and its interpretation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, data, or related fields.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in credit rating agencies or financial markets.
• Proficiency in Alteryx, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data visualization tools like QlikView/QlikSense and Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with large datasets and learn new tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Alteryx certifications.
• Knowledge of VBA and/or Python.
• Experience in credit ratings.
