Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) Limited is recruiting for an Associate Director – Quantity Surveying in Cambridge with flexible working. The role leads high-profile Residential sector projects valued around £5m-£40m, overseeing cost planning, tendering, and contract administration while mentoring surveyors and trainees.

MRICS is preferred, with a strong path for leadership within a long-standing consultancy.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (BSc/MSc).
• MRICS desirable but not essential.
• Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate level in private practice or cost consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of high-profile Residential sector projects (values c£5m-£40m+) from feasibility to handover.
• Perform quantity surveying and employer's agent duties including cost planning, pre-contract tenders, and contract administration (JCT/Design & Build).
• Manage Section 106 agreements: quantify contributions, draft viability assessments, monitor milestones for payments.
• Build cash flow models for IRR with Investment Partnership clients, audit land titles and cost histories, and establish tendering rules respecting procurement laws.
• Be primary point of contact for key clients, manage expectations, and mentor junior staff and trainees.
