HSBC Market & Securities Services provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody and sub-custody settlement and services. Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the HSBC Global Banking and Markets business to deliver Securities Lending solutions to clients.

In this role you will:

  1. The role will require development of the underlying mathematical models and analytical tools.
  2. To design, develop, test and document the models developed according to HSBC standards.
  3. Develop technical solutions for the users as required (Trading desks, Product Control, Traded Risks, etc.).
  4. To analyse and provide support to any issues identified in the models.
  5. To assist with integration of the quant library into the Primary Trading Systems (Murex) and via the Flex API.

To be successful you should meet the following requirements:

  1. Education in Mathematical Finance, Science or Mathematics, Engineering or Physics.
  2. Proven knowledge of the standard pricing models used in the investment banking industry for derivative products.
  3. Sound experience of main instruments used in FX, Fixed Income, or Credit.
  4. Experience working as a Quantitative Analyst developing front office models in quantitative finance, IT development, or a trading environment required.
  5. C++ experience required (preferably using Visual Studio 2022).
  6. Experience in developing, maintaining or integrating quant libraries with Murex (MX3.1) Flex API for IR and FX option products.
