Remit

Compass Associates is exclusively working with a national provider of specialist education and care services, to recruit an Associate Quality Director who will oversee their Children’s Services Division.

The Associate Quality Director will oversee the quality performance of the Children’s Services, which include residential homes, supported accommodation, specialist schools, and family assessment centres. Reporting to the Director of Quality, you will be instrumental in driving internal standards and continuous improvement for quality, strategy, and safeguarding, ensuring services meet and exceed regulatory requirements and outcomes.

To excel in this role, you must be immersed in your division, continuously reflect on areas of improvement, and proactively ensure the services deliver the highest quality care and support for children. Building positive relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams, as well as line managing a team of Quality Managers, is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality or Safeguarding Leader seeking the next step in their career within a reputable and specialist social care provider.

Location/Travel

Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, willing to travel including overnight stays. Services are located across England and Wales, including London, the Midlands, Devon, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and the North West.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognised degree in Social Work (preferably); qualified Nurses or Allied Health Professionals will also be considered.
  • Strong background in children’s residential and/or specialist education services.
  • Experience working within services regulated by CQC, Ofsted, CIW, or Estyn.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic skills.
  • UK driving licence and own car.
  • Willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays.

Interview Process

This will be a 2-stage process: an informal Teams call with the Director of Quality, followed by a formal interview and psychometric testing.
