THE ROLE
My client seeks an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT & COST MANAGEMENT to work in Milan, Italy, managing their office.
You must speak fluent Italian and good English, as many clients are international.
Projects involve hotels, including new builds, refurbishments, fit-outs, and repositioning.
You will oversee the office, handle projects, liaise with clients, supervise staff, and help grow the office by strengthening client relationships.
THE COMPANY
They are a successful large construction consultancy with offices across the UK, USA, and EU, providing cost and project management services.
THE CANDIDATE
You should be a Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor with experience in hotel and hospitality sectors, focusing on refurbishment, repositioning, and new hotel developments.
You must have excellent client-facing skills to build relationships and grow the office.
You should be capable of managing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget, and achieving client satisfaction.
You should be able to lead a small team of project managers and quantity surveyors.
You must be able to resolve disputes, manage fees, and ensure health, safety, and quality standards.
Ideal candidates will have at least 15 years of experience in large construction projects, with over 5 years in hospitality/hotel projects.
A construction-related qualification and chartered status or equivalent are preferred.
Salary is negotiable, ranging from Euro 75,000 to Euro 100,000 per annum, plus discretionary bonuses, lunch vouchers, etc.
