Job summary

M&G is seeking an Associate Director, Process & Platform to lead pricing systems development across Corporate Pension Solutions, with options to base in London or Edinburgh. You will combine actuarial, technology and process expertise to deliver scalable pricing solutions for growth.

You will partner with Life, Finance and Technology teams to improve operational efficiency, enhance platform capabilities and drive automation for new business pricing, under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable track record of development of DB pricing or Solvency II and related actuarial models, tools and processes.
• Excellent software development skills (C# strongly preferred; Python & VBA experience valuable).
• Qualified Actuary or actuarial skillset required.
• Strong knowledge of at least one area of DB benefits, IFRS 17 and Solvency UK for life insurance (balance sheet construction). Asset strategy & ALM valuable.
• Ambitious and self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative and prioritise deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to bridge actuarial and IT.

Responsibilities

• Support ownership of pricing tools and model infrastructure across pricing workstreams.
• Support design and delivery of short, medium and long term strategy for responsible models with stakeholders.
• Support tools and systems outsourcing arrangements where required.
• Identify and deliver day-to-day process automation across the CPS business.

Associate Director, Process & Platform

Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS) is a division within M&G Life with a remit to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success, a strong opportunity set, and ambitious growth plans, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas.

We're looking for an exceptional individual to enable M&G's Digital Strategy, using technological and actuarial expertise to develop areas within the pricing platform and end-to-end new business processes as CPS accelerates its growth plans.

The Associate Director, Process & Platform leads the development of pricing systems, models and business processes that underpin Corporate Pension Solutions' growth strategy. The role brings together actuarial, technology and process expertise to improve operational efficiency, enhance platform capabilities and deliver scalable solutions for new business pricing.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Support for and ownership of some tools, systems and model infrastructure across pricing and associated workstreams, such as liability cashflow engine, capital projection model, integrated data management, asset portfolio construction and/or financial reporting reconciliation
• Support the design and enable the build and delivery of short, medium and long term strategy for responsible models in partnership with stakeholders across Life, Finance and Technology teams
• Support tools and systems outsourcing arrangements where required
• Identify and deliver day-to-day process automation solutions across the CPS business
• Build a close partnership with broader CPS Pricing team and the wider business to deliver process enhancement, build technical capability, and drive continuous improvement for areas of responsibility

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrable track record of development of DB pricing or Solvency II and related actuarial models, tools and processes

• Qualified Actuary or actuarial skillset required
