Job summary

S&P Global Energy is seeking a senior Process Economics role within the Process Economics Program (PEP) in London. You will research chemical technologies, perform techno-economic assessments, and deliver technical reports to support client commitments.

You will identify strategic opportunities, collaborate cross-functionally, and engage with clients to convey complex insights. The role emphasizes rigorous analysis, publication quality outputs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced global

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant experience in industrial organic chemistry research, technology evaluation, and authoring technical publications/reports.
• Experience in industrial organic chemistry research, including publications and/or technology evaluation roles
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills (authoring reports, presenting findings)
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to work independently under deadlines
• Background in Industrial Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate emerging and established chemical technologies.
• Conduct techno-economic assessments to determine performance, competitiveness, and viability of processes.
• Develop and deliver technical reports and analyses to support program objectives and client commitments.
• Identify new research topics and strategic opportunities for program growth.
• Engage with clients to understand needs, communicate insights, and strengthen relationships.
