Job Description:

Overview - Associate Principal – Patient Centered Solutions, CNS Practice

IQVIA provides scientific services spanning clinical trials, real world evidence, and consulting in all areas of the product lifecycle. The Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team leads the industry in generating data to ensure that the patient voice is incorporated into the development and commercialization of medication and other drug/non-drug interventions. We focus on understanding and meeting the needs of our clients – mostly life science/pharmaceutical companies – through the application of broad consulting expertise and technical scientific knowledge to design scientifically rigorous research. This research includes qualitative (e.g., interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g., clinical outcome assessments (COAs)/patient-reported outcomes (PROS), preference research), and passive (e.g., digital health technology tools) approaches to understand patient, caregiver, and healthcare professional experiences and expectations of disease and treatment.

To meet our client expectations and retain our reputation, the IQVIA PCS team is committed to recruiting, training, and supporting driven individuals with consulting and life science skills applicable to PCS CNS research activities. Joining us offers a rewarding career in patient-focused research, addressing challenging client issues across multiple geographies, with opportunities to develop and deliver solutions. We operate in a multicultural, collegial, and collaborative environment rich in development and growth opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

As an Associate Principal within the PCS CNS Practice at IQVIA, you will manage or lead multiple consulting projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries. You will contribute to and manage teams of Associates, Associate Consultants, Consultants, and Managers in designing, developing, and delivering consulting projects:

  • Managing and contributing to the execution of PCS CNS Practice projects, from kickoff to close, including client deliverables and presentations
  • Providing oversight, tracking, and monitoring for COA CNS Practice projects
  • Planning, organizing, and managing internal and external resources to achieve project goals
  • Leveraging business experience to identify strategic options and elevate our solutions
  • Sharing PCS CNS expertise to enhance our capabilities
  • Serving as a key client contact, developing relationships through various communication channels
  • Following up with clients post-delivery to ensure satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities for practice expansion and new business development
  • Communicating effectively with delivery teams to resolve issues
  • Supporting the development of intellectual property for future use
  • Managing proposal preparation and bid processes
  • Enhancing consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market knowledge
  • Providing guidance and leadership to clients and teams, participating in team meetings
  • Contributing to client reports and presentations, delivering findings
  • Supporting community-building activities within PCS, including recruitment, coaching, and network development

Associate Principals will also contribute to practice development by:

  • Leading work streams on critical HR issues
  • Developing templates and training materials for project startup and onboarding
  • Creating formal project management processes and mentoring staff in these processes
  • Serving as a coach to 3-4 staff members

About You:
