THE ROLE
If you are passionate about helping smaller businesses access the finance they need to grow, this is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping relationships across the UK's lending market. As an Associate Director within Origination & Relationship Management, you will manage a portfolio of existing and prospective delivery partners, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across banks, specialist lenders and alternative finance providers with a core focus on Asset Finance.
You will work at the heart of our Banking team, identifying opportunities, developing commercial relationships and helping to bring innovative funding and guarantee solutions to market. By combining market insight with a thoughtful and collaborative approach, you will help create opportunities that support our mission while delivering value for our delivery partners and the smaller businesses they serve.
Working closely with colleagues across Banking, Risk, Policy, Legal, Finance, ESG, Marketing and Communications, you will influence product development, contribute to strategic initiatives and help ensure our products continue to evolve in response to changing market needs. You will be encouraged to challenge constructively, share ideas, simplify complexity and build partnerships that create lasting impact.
You will bring significant experience in banking, corporate finance or financial marketing, together with a track record of relationship and transaction management. You will have a strong understanding of SME finance markets (particularly Asset Finance), pricing and capital requirements, alongside the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to a wide range of audiences. Experience of guarantee schemes, capital efficiency products or structured finance would be beneficial, but your curiosity, commercial awareness and commitment to building meaningful partnerships are equally important.
In return, you will join an organisation where collaboration, fresh thinking and purposeful action are valued, and where your work will help unlock growth and opportunity for smaller businesses across the UK.
