Associate Director – Ongoing Know Your Customer

Locations: Edinburgh / Birmingham / London

Hours: Full-Time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

Salary Range: £62,874 - £69,860

End Date: Friday 10 January 2025

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Ongoing Know Your Customer Team which is made up of c.250 colleagues across 3 locations. You'll be part of a wider team who carries out KYC on existing customers for Business & Commercial Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking business areas.

Core Purpose:

This is an opportunity to lead a team of risk specialists supporting our LBCM North American Clients, responsible for assessing and investigating standard / high risk factors and recommending whether to maintain clients. You'll also be responsible for completing some investigation on these clients. The role will be split c80% leading team and c20% undertaking the investigation.

We're highly collaborative and help all colleagues to become rounded risk professionals by developing a broad range of skills across our specialisms. We encourage innovation, to focus on risks and streamline wasteful processes. You'll lead in delivering continuous improvement activities.

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven ability to manage teams.
  • Track record in coordinating work in order to achieve expectations and follow established timelines.
  • Partner management skills, to lead important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Experience and technical knowledge in an ECP role.
  • Knowledge of, or a passion to learn about, ECP risk areas.

And Any Experience Of These Would Be Really Useful:

  • Coaching skills and track record of personal development.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of a compliance programme while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Ability to identify shortcomings, then suggest and implement improvements to existing business practices.
  • Knowledge of US Economic Crime Regulations, or a passion to learn about, with a deep understanding of UK ECP Regulations.
