JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Associate Director of Supply Chain with a track record of improving supplier performance, reducing waste and building high performing teams, to own HelloFresh UK’s supply chain operations. Together with your team you will constantly look for opportunities to improve, innovate and make our operations more efficient, ensuring our customers can depend on HelloFresh to deliver a quality product every week. You strive to make your team and business best in class and are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and ways to pioneer in the market.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy with the objective to mitigate supply risks, reduce waste and drive down transportation costs, ensuring operational excellence in our supply chain and delighted customers
  • Closely collaborating with all UK production sites to ensure excellent service and SKU availability
  • Managing and developing our team of supply chain experts who plan our daily, weekly, and monthly deliveries, as well as the DC-based Supply Chain Coordinators who manage OTIF(IQ), delivery deviations and troubleshooting
  • Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions
  • Driving operational efficiency by implementing best practices, leveraging technology, and optimising processes across the supply chain
  • Coordinating between global procurement, FSQA and local culinary teams to sign off future menu plans and also resolve any live issues impacting the execution of that plan in week
  • Working with global procurement colleagues to ensure contracts serve for quality and waste reduction (frequency of deliveries, MOQs, etc) alongside unit cost
  • Managing your team to determine the optimal buffering and delivery schedule to ensure supply and reduce waste
  • Collaborating with inventory colleagues in the DCs to ensure we have robust measure of stocks held
  • Working with global teams to generate best practices and support in rolling these out both globally and locally
  • Delivering strong performance management of suppliers driving a best in class OTIF score
  • Supporting our automation agenda, working with local and global stakeholders to improve our tooling and tech capabilities
  • Driving good data governance to ensure our systems are up to date and maintained, and develop action plans where stakeholders have challenges
  • Who You Are:

  • You have a minimum of 8 years supply chain experience, preferably (but not essentially) working with perishable products
  • A courageous, empathetic and visionary leader that can take their team and stakeholders on a journey
  • Analytical and strategic, with the a natural proclivity towards making data-driven decisions
  • Results orientated
  • A self starter who is willing to get their hands dirty and lead from the front
  • A change advocate who is never satisfied with the status quo
