Were looking for a passionate and purpose-driven leader to takeon the role of Associate Director of Fundraising & Supporter Engagement.Youll be someone who can help us grow our income and connect even more deeplywith the people and communities who make our work possible.

Working as part of our Senior Management Team, and reporting tothe Director of Income Generation & Marketing, youll play a key role inshaping our strategic direction. Youll lead with heart and purpose, supportingand motivating a dedicated team of staff, while ensuring every supporter feelsvalued and connected to the hospice.

From individual giving to legacy fundraising,community events to corporate partnerships youll oversee all our fundraisingincome streams and build long-term supporter engagement. Youll championcreativity, collaboration and data-led decision-making in order to drivecontinuous improvement and sustainable growth.

At St Elizabeth Hospice, we believe that everymoment matters. Were a local, independent charity, dedicated to improving thelives of people in Ipswich, East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney who arefacing progressive or life-limiting illness.

JOB SUMMARY

To provide strategicleadership and oversight for all fundraising income streams and supporterengagement activities. Lead and inspire a high-performing team across individualgiving, legacy, events, community fundraising, philanthropy, corporatefundraising and supporter care, ensuring they are aligned with the hospicesmission, values, and strategic objectives. Take a pivotal role in driving fundraisinginnovation, strengthening community connections, and significantly increasingsustainable income through the development of meaningful donor and supporterrelationships.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Workcollaboratively with the Director of Income Generation & Marketing and othersenior leaders in the directorate, to ensure an integrated approach to developingand delivering the Income Generation & Engagement strategy.

Leadthe development and implementation of ambitious, multi-channel fundraising andsupporter engagement strategies that support the hospice's long-term vision andincome targets.

Developinnovative approaches to diversify income streams and identify new opportunitiesfor growing the supporter base, including the development of integratedcampaigns, major giving and digital fundraising.

Providedynamic leadership to the Fundraising team, continuing to build on a supportiveculture and ensuring high performance, creativity, accountability, andcollaboration.

Investin the development of individual members and the team as a whole, evaluatingskills and resource to recommend development opportunities.

Usedata insight and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and informdecision-making across all income and engagement channels.

Supportfundraising managers in the ongoing evaluation of all products and initiativeswithin the fundraising portfolio, addressing areas of underperformance andmaximising return on investment.

Leadthe team in the development of the departmental budget, ensuring efficient useof resources and return on investment. Support managers in the development ofwork plans, objectives and KPIs for all income streams to monitor performance.

Drivea supporter-first culture, ensuring all donors and supporters feel valued andconnected to the impact of their contribution.

Ensuresupporter communications are compelling, consistent, and aligned with brandvalues, enhancing the hospice's reputation and visibility.

Buildand maintain strategic relationships with major donors, corporate partners,community groups, and other key stakeholders.

Championeffective use of our CRM system and the importance of data and insight toensure strong stewardship and relationship management across all incomestreams.

Collaborateclosely with Senior Management Team peers, the Senior Leadership Team and theBoard to ensure alignment of fundraising efforts with organisational prioritiesand financial plans.

Takea proactive role as a senior leader within the organisation and actively seekopportunities for cross-team collaboration.

Build good relationships across the hospice to maximise staffand volunteer engagement and proactively drive a culture of fundraising.

Beaccountable for all fundraising activities being carried out in a professionalmanner and in compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethicalstandards, including but not limited to the Fundraising Code of Practice,gambling regulations and GDPR.

GENERAL

Toact as a brand ambassador for St Elizabeth Hospice and to uphold hospice valuesat all times.

Wherethe postholder is a member of a professional body, conform to the professionalstandards set by that body. Ensure registration is current and practicecontinuous professional development.

Becauseof the special nature of the hospice and its work, the postholder may onoccasion be asked to undertake other duties to help maintain our high standardsof care and engagement.
